History
This charmingly rustic farmhouse was built in the early 1700s and has unique features, including custom barn door kitchen cabinets, a large fireplace equipped with an efficient wood burning stove, and furniture that has been in our family for over 140 years. My parents bought this house in 1987. My mother lived here until September 2019. The living room side of the house was built ca. 1700 and the kitchen side of the house was built ca. 1770. The barn was built ca. 1840, but since has had a new roof among other repairs. The pool was built in the ‘30s, and I’d like to say it has a classic Gatsbyesque design with the grass right up to the edge!
Turtle Stop
Turtle Stop is a new name—we don’t even have a proper sign yet! Named after the box turtle that my husband and I rescued off the road, the day before our daughter, was born. The property is perfect for anyone who enjoys the quiet beauty of country life. This home is great for families and small friend groups looking for a quiet country retreat.
