“A perfect New Year’s”
A group of good friends checked into Turtle Stop Farm for a few days of relaxation and to ring in the new year. I had the pleasure of meeting Cally when checking into the property. It's clear she takes great pride in this lovely family home. Cally was very helpful and gave great suggestions of places to explore. We found everything we needed and enjoyed cooking and gathering around the large farm table in the rustic kitchen. Comfortable beds, and plenty of clean towels. Lots of quaint towns to explore in beautiful Bucks county, about 30 minutes from the farm.

“What a cozy and quaint stay!”
My husband, our (very large 95 pound) dog, and myself stayed for a couple of days a couple weeks before Christmas and we had such a relaxing time. If you are looking for a quiet reprieve from city life this is the perfect place. As it was the winter, we couldn’t utilize the pool but we are talking about returning during the summer months. Cally was so nice and quick to respond to my questions. We could not have had a better trip!

"Full of character"
Cally's farmhouse was absolutely perfect for my husband and my anniversary. The place is charmingly rustic—full of character, yet comfy with modern amenities—and fitting for those seeking quiet in nature, to be surrounded by nothing but trees, picturesque meadows, deer, and memorable sunsets.

“Wonderful time at Turtle Stop Farm!”
The home is wonderful and we loved the original features and historic furniture. Bucks County is gorgeous and this is a great location to visit neighboring towns and villages. We hope to visit again soon!

"A great contrast to city life"
Some friends and I took a break from the city and stayed at Cally's farm. The house was beautiful, clean and had a very peaceful energy. The views are expansive with no close neighbors. And the road is infrequently traveled - but we did see some locals enjoying their antique cars on Sunday, as well as plenty of cyclists. I woke up extra early to enjoy the sunrise and to watch the local hawks from the amazing porch while drinking my coffee. The house was spotless when we arrived. It is well-designed, formerly the home of a local architect. The home is very, very old with wide board floors and stone walls. Many dishes and mugs were handmade pieces, and you can tell there is a real love of craftsmanship in the furnishings. The kitchen was the prettiest room in the house, in my opinion, and was well equipped for cooking. The bedding was crisp and clean. The herb garden and beautiful flowers everywhere were much appreciated. Our group of two couples, 1 single, and a dog were very comfortable sleeping with the windows open to enjoy the cool early autumn air. The 1930's pool was lovely and our group thoroughly enjoyed a game of barefoot Badminton. We cooked meals together, and ended each evening around the firepit. A great contrast to city life and only an hour from Philly. Feels like a special experience, where the host really puts in the effort to make sure guests are comfortable. Can't wait to go back!

“Comfortable, picturesque, traditional PA farmhouse”
We enjoyed the history and charm of the home and local area. It was clean, cozy and well stocked with all the essentials. The host was responsive and clearly takes great care in providing an authentic farmhouse experience, blended with modern amenities. She even had it beautifully decorated for Christmas with a full tree and lights. We can’t wait to go back when we can spend more time outdoors walking the property, hiking in nearby parks and visiting quaint river towns.

“Great experience overall!”
Unfortunately we missed the opportunity to take advantage of the pool but we do have a playful dog that made excellent use of the vast amount of land on this property. We were able to run around, play frisbee, throw balls, etc. The road leading to the house stays relatively quiet, so it is an extremely peaceful getaway from the usual hustle and bustle we are accustomed to. The sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous, as well as the rolling fog in the mornings over the open fields. We managed to spot a large family of deer that would graze in the field across the street every day as the sun went down. The house itself is absolutely awesome. Very well kept given how old it is... it’s like visiting colonial Williamsburg (complete with that musky fire smell), except with modern amenities. Lots of interesting books to take a look at upstairs that I wish I could’ve taken home with me and read more in depth. Overall, great experience. Cally was an exceptional host, quick to reply, and gave fabulous recommendations in the area. Would love to visit again.

"Absolutely blissful and idyllic"
This was a spectacular property and vacation. The house and farm is exactly as described and pictured - or maybe even better. The pool is gorgeous and even though it was a bit past the season, we enjoyed it. We made and shared great meals in the updated, well stocked kitchen. But mostly we walked and relaxed on the farm. We made a short trip into Frenchtown to peek in the great shops and to walk along the Delaware. This is a perfect spot to take time to rejuvenate and connect with family or friends.

"The perfect getaway"
Cally's place was the perfect getaway for the weekend. The pool was clean and large enough for my group of 6 friends to hang out and swim. We all slept comfortably in the 3 bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed for when we baked and cooked. My group of friends tend to airbnb at least 3 or 4 times a year and we all agreed that Cally's place was the best so far. I can't think of a single complaint other than not being able to stay longer.

"Serene, with thoughtful elements"
This home is perfect, beautiful and peaceful. The expansive property and location are serene, with thoughtful elements like flowers on the porch and an herb garden (a nice touch for homemade meals!) Cally is a great host, we were able to meet her on the property for a tutorial on the wood burning stove and pool. Her manual to the town gave great recommendations for local activities, like a "pick your own" farm where we were able to pick our own bouquets of fresh flowers. This home is also an easy 15 minute drive into Frenchtown, which makes for a fun day trip. Upper Black Eddy is an idyllic and relaxing area for a cozy trip, I highly recommend choosing this house for a long weekend.

“Beyond lovely”
Cally’s property is beyond lovely, and the house could not be more charming. Cally responds to inquires literally within a minute .. every time .. so you are never left hanging; an incredibly super-helpful and responsible human being. the property abounds with fox, deer, owls and hawks, so it was wonderful simply sitting outside and taking it all in. if you are looking for peace and quiet and big night skies, this is it. as to the home, it is extremely old and fascinating to be in a property that predates the American revolution .. that said, the kitchen is so well equipped .. we are big cooks and wanted for nothing. the wifi & internet was stellar and there is both Netfilx and Amazon; and possibly other premium stations but we did not look past that. the beds are firm and comfortable, the entire place is situated to get maximum sun, and there is a cozy wood stove fireplace that we used nonstop. we look forward to our next trip!

Cally was an excellent host, providing tips and area recommendations; she was super responsive and proactive. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy the farmhouse, pool, and grounds; strongly recommend to anyone seeking to escape city life or simply unplug for a few days. This place cant be beat!

“A relaxing getaway”
I stayed with my husband and 2 teen kids for Halloween weekend. We had a great time. We loved the house. It was so quaint and cozy. It was close enough to everything but far enough for relaxing. The owner was great she left a lot of details about the house and some great suggestions on what to do in the area. We would definitely love to come back again soon.

“Lovely Retreat”
When looking for a place to get away from busy life and relax in nature this house immediately caught my attention and did not disappoint! My only regret is that we booked in October and thus didn’t get the chance to use the pool 😉
Cally is a lovely host who goes out of her way to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

"WOW - JUST WOW !!!!!!!!!"
It’s nearly impossible to describe how incredible this home let alone the grounds and its surroundings. The pictures give a glimpse into its uniqueness, but until you are there, and take in everything, you just cannot imagine how fantastic it is. We took a short respite away from the city expecting a quite country experience. As the house is from the 1700’s we expected to “rough it “a bit. That was put to rest when the central air kicked in 😉. While this is a period home, it had every modern convenience we could want and that just made it more enjoyable. The house was extremely clean and far bigger than we expected. Everything we needed was there and we had zero desire to leave the spacious property once we arrived. The front porch has a constant breeze as the house sits across from many open acres of farmland. We spent every night in the rocking chairs enjoying the breeze and the peacefulness of the country. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is VERY well appointed and there is plenty of room in the house to find a peaceful moment. There is a desk area upstairs to work and the wifi was incredibly fast. Outside, the large grounds provided plenty of fetch opportunities for our dog and the in-ground pool was a MAJOR plus. We have visited many unique properties, but a 17 hundred home with every modern convivence and an inground pool, is not something we expected to find. The owner, Cally, was FANTASTIC at making sure we had what we needed, and she also sent us a bunch of suggestions for things to do in the area. While she does not stay on the property (the place was all ours), we never felt out of touch. Beyond the fabulousness of this place, the Delaware river and Frenchtown is just 10 – 15 minutes away. Frenchtown is “storybook America” and the food and shopping was premium. I’m hoping this comment is not even a consideration in the near future, but, the town was “Covid respectful” without being uptight about it. We have yet to find a place as incredible as this in under 2 hours from Midtown Manhattan, and if you are in NYC now, trust us, Cally’s home is chicken soup for the soul! From what we understand we were the first renters, so its with trepidation that we let this little secrete out as we certainly will be returning again!
